You don't need firsthand experience with arcade video games to appreciate the charm of pixel art. Popular from the 1970s to the 90s, pixel art is a digital art form that uses small, square pixels as the building blocks for creating simple but intriguing visuals reminiscent of early 8-bit and 16-bit video games. As advanced technologies indulge us with increasingly more high-res, eye-popping video games, some of us start to dwell on the beauty of pixels. This 80-card Rider-Waite deck pays homage to the golden age of pixelated video games, showcasing both "traditions" as relevant and forward-looking rather than mere retro revivals.
